Sony KX-20PS1

Summary

The Sony KX-20PS1 is a 20" Profeel Trinitron monitor from 1983, often regarded as a stylish, early predecessor to professional PVM monitors. It has both a SCART input port (called Peri-TV) and a 34-pin input.

However, analog RGB input does not seemed to be supported through either of these inputs similar to Sony KX-1901.

Let's take a look at the timelines for 19" ProFeel.

- 1980: Sony introduces the ProFeel component television line.
- 1981: Production/usage era of the original KX-1901, which features only digital (TTL) RGB input.
- 1982: KX-20PS1 was introduced. This also only features digital RGB input.
- 1983: The revised model, KX-1901A, is documented, which added analog RGB support for better compatibility with, for example, video game consoles.
